It also provides transmission components; machine tools, such as grinders, machining centers, gear skiving/gear cutting machines, and cutting machines; programmable logic controllers, including motion controllers; IoE solutions; industrial heat treatment equipment, heat treatment equipment for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced technology devices, heat treatment equipment for electronic component manufacturing and research and development, compressors, assembly and inspection machines, inspection testers, electronic test instruments and equipment, maintenance equipment, and metal-bonded wheel forming machines. In addition, the company offers tools comprising dressers, vitrified CBN and diamond wheels, metal and resin wheels, PCD and PCBN products, and electroplated wheels; displays consisting of IoE, monitors/general purpose operation panels, electronic counters, digital tachometers and timers, programmable displays, HMI software, and panel computers; bevel, cylindrical, and worm gears; component parts, such as oil seals, shafts, and precision mechanical equipment; sensor products, including IoE, water level meters, rotary encoders, and proximity sensors; and storage devices comprising lithium-ion capacitors. The company was formerly known as Koyo Seiko Co. Ltd. JTEKT Corporation was founded in 1921 and is headquartered in Kariya, Japan.
